I have a Nine West & Coach handbag that were given to me and they both are in great shape. I use them all the time. Also have a $5 no name brand handbag ( get a lot of compliments on it, too) that has lasted me 4 years! I think it depends on the brand, but also how often are you going to use/wear this item. If you buy a $200 pair of True Religion jeans and wear them frequently then they are worth the $$. You could also buy a pair of store brand jeans for $25 and never wear them, so you have wasted money. I am not a big, brand name shopper. It is all about what looks good on me & what is in my price range. Hope this helps! |

I can't see spending the large amount of cash on something that is used usually for decoration. I did have an expensive bag given to me once and although it was very nice looking, I didn't find it last any longer. I have purchased cheaper bags that have lasted quite a while and once spent a larger sum of money and found it did not last at all. I refuse to pay more for brand name clothing. It does not last any longer and when you can get the same thing for less, why pay for someones name and advertise for them for free. |

If you find something that's flattering and a great fit, it is worth what it costs. Doesn't matter if it's a fancy brand or not. |

I agree, I have many things that aren't brand named clothing/accessories. But, for me, when it comes to jeans it is worth the money spending a little more. I love Guess and Arden B. I've never had ripping problems from wearing down like I have had with non-brand name jeans. So, it all depends. If it is something you love and can't find it anywhere else, then go spend the little extra on a brand name clothing/accessory, but there are many awesome things out there that don't have the pricey tab. :-) |

I'm the Queen of Cheap. I buy name brand things...but in Thrift Stores (yes people give it away)! And you can find cheap brand name items sometimes for around $5 each item. I've had people wonder how I can afford all the brand name clothes I wear, when I don't usually buy new clothes. What you can do is find a good thrift store in your area and just shop there for what fits. |
